SMART Initiative (Sustainable Mobilization of Agricultural Resource Technologies) is a community-based not-for-profit organization working in West Pokot and Trans-Nzoia Counties promoting ecological organic agriculture.
Vision
SMART envisions a communitythat is economically empowered; food and seed secure and lives in harmony with the ecology.
Mission
To disseminate appropriate low-cost agricultural technologies through community education and participation in addressing food security, increasing environmental resilience and improving biodiversity. SMART believes that everybody should have a decent and sustainable livelihood and lives in a better environment.
