Henry Muriuki
Henry Muriuki Kaguuru is a dedicated community mobilizer and grassroots development advocate with a strong passion for ecological agriculture, conservation, and inclusive community empowerment. He has undertaken several specialized trainings including a course on Organic Farming from Arifu, a training on smallholder farmer organizations and ecological organic agriculture under the Biovision Africa Trust, and the Farmers Field School Training Curriculum. His practical knowledge in organic agriculture is rooted in years of hands-on work with farming communities, where he has facilitated farmer learning and adoption of agroecological practices. Henry holds multiple leadership roles, serving as Chairperson for various institutions and community-based organizations, including Kimunye Primary School, Kamubuta Tea Buying Centre, Football Kenya Federation (Mt. Kenya Branch – Kirinyaga East Sub-County), Castle Transfer Programme (Kirinyaga East Sub-County), Castle Rehabilitation & Conservation Group, Castle Beekeeping Group, Kabare Organic Farmers Group, and the Kenya Wildlife & Community Association in Kirinyaga County. His strong community networks and leadership experience make him a vital bridge between project stakeholders, farmer groups, and local institutions, supporting the successful implementation and local ownership of development initiatives.
